From Monday 4th November 2024, CT4N will commence operating two services which are currently operated by Derbyshire Community Transport who will sadly be closing their doors for the final time on Thursday 31st October 2024.

The services which CT4N will commence operating are:

Travel Derbyshire On Demand

Travel Derbyshire on Demand is a new flexible public transport service that differs from traditional bus services.

Instead of following a fixed route and schedule, these buses allow you to book your journeys for the specific time you wish to travel, making it a personalised and more efficient way to use public transport.

Derbyshire Connect Shopper Services

The Derbyshire Connect Shopper Bus Services provide vital links to major supermarkets in the Derbyshire area including Co-Op, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Tesco.

Following the announcement, CT4N Managing Director Barry Allitt said "It is always upsetting when an operator such as Derbyshire Community Transport takes the step to cease trading. CT4N will now commence working with the team who are currently operating the Travel Derbyshire on Demand and Derbyshire Connect Shopper Services so that all of the familiar and friendly drivers can continue working with CT4N into the future. There is also a lot of work to undertake behind the scenes including our call centre to handle the increase in calls we will expect over the coming days and weeks and of course we will be working with our friends at Derbyshire Community Transport to ensure a smooth hand over of these vital services.

Bus Services

Services 147 and 148 will be operated by Notts and Derby from Friday 1st November 2024. You can find further information by following the link to their website here.

Service 78 will no longer operate after Thursday 31st October 2024.

Other Services

CT4N will not be operating any of the current services other than those shown above.
